All dog owners know that their dogs love puddles, usually full of mud! Very often this means that the dogs coat becomes in need of a thorough clean!

At Lilly's we have the facilities and experience to make bathing a relaxing and enjoyable time for your dog and also take all the hassle and mess out of your hands, and your home!

We offer bathing as a stand alone service when you require this. This takes around an hour and you can book this as you would a groom.

Bathing is also included as the first stage of any groom. 

At the start of all grooms we will shampoo and condition your dogs coat using high quality, specialised products.

This preparation of the dogs coat allows the brushing and trimming processes to be as easy and stress free for your dog as possible.

As a rule of thumb, a dog's nails should be trimmed when they touch the ground. For sedate living dogs, that might mean weekly pedicures, while highly active pooches who cover a lot of hard ground, might never need their nails cut at all (except their dewclaws, if they have them).

Overgrown nails can be very painful, with long nails growing into the paw pads and causing infection. Long nails can cause your pet's toes to bend and create a walking disfigurement.

We have regular visits from some of our dogs, just to have their nails trimmed in between full grooms and are happy to do this at any time, should your dog need theirs done.

A clean dog is a happy dog. No hair in the eyes, clean fur and skin, clipped nails all make for a dog that is comfortable and better behaved, but adverse, serious side effects occur when we neglect to groom our dogs. If we don't tend to our dogs grooming needs on a regular basis, we encourage a variety of issues which can lead to expensive vet bills and difficult or even aggressive behaviour.

Long hair is the culprit of a variety of discomfort and skin issues. Hair hanging over your dogs eyes can restrict vision altering their capabilities and behaviour. When long hair is not brushed and washed regularly, dogs often suffer matting which can load them with extra weight.
